The Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) is a Spanish academic and public institution involved in numerous research and development projects.
This university is the main center of academic research in agriculture, livestock, waste management and land management of the Region of Murcia. The European Project Office of the UPCT has extensive experience in EU Projects. UPTC coordinates a collaboration project and a general direction for the environmental project, as well as participating in several Collaborative Projects of 7PM and in a Network of Excellence.
The Research Groups that participate in this project have extensive experience in the fields of irrigation management, crop production, carbon dynamics, carbon capture, water management, water quality, soil-plant system, energy management, implementation of innovative and profitable technologies for sustainable irrigation and irrigation monitoring, recovery and soil protection and evaluation of irrigation implications and efficient production. These groups have participated in several European and international projects, together with public bodies and private companies.
The Technological Research Support Service of the UPCT, the facilities of the university and the research groups, possess the adequate instrumentation for the proposed tasks in which they are involved. Its scientific technique and experience will guarantee the successful implementation of the technical and analytical activities of the project, as well as the dissemination of the results to specialized audiences, students, technicians and the general public.
